Hiruzen Highland

On the way to Otsu city, I stopped at Hiruzen Highland, one of the Service Area of Yonago Expressway. I was surprised to see the snow had piled up. I had to put on my boots to see Mt. Daisen from the observation platform.

Itsukushima Shrine

Itukushima Shrine, one of the UNESCO World Heritage site, is on the seashore of Miyajima island. We can walk near the Torii Gate when the tide is low.
Today, I enjoyed the evening cruise to the Torii gate. The boat could go under the Torii gate because the tide was high this evening. It was an amazing experience for me to go through the sacred Torii Gate on the sea. Above the Gate, Orion was shining.

A Happy New Year!

I Visited Sada Shrine. There were some "Kagami-mochi" (round rice cakes offered to the gods) on the offertory box. Usually we make a money offering to this box. So I felt very interesting to see them.
